Remember Latrell Sprewell ? Well it seems he’s fallen into hard times, I just love how karma works sometimes. In case you don’t know Latrell Sprewell is a former NBA player who refused a a $21 million contract because “he’s got a family to feed” (read: I’m greedy and want more money). He held out thinking that another team would sign him up for more money unfortunately for him no one did. Now his yacht is being repossessed and his home mortgage. Wonder what Spree’s family is saying now ?
One interesting tidbit in the article is that 60% of NBA players go into hard times five years after they retire. Just goes to show the old adage it’s not how much you earn but how much you save is so true…
