Woot! Just got myself a Nokia N82 Black Edition, it costs a bit more than the normal silver edition but it’s way better looking than the silver one which was butt ugly.

I was actually thinking of buying a new camera to upgrade my old Canon iXus I but then I read the reviews of the Nokia N82 and how it was the best camera phone out there (with a Xenon Flash to boot) so I decided why not get the Nokia N82 Black Edition instead. I get a decent camera, a phone, GPS receiver, music and video player all in one device. Plus I’m always carrying it around so I’ll probably take more pictures with it, unlike my old Canon iXus I which I never really got to use since I sometimes leave behind since I was lugging several gadgets already.

Good news for Sansa Clip owners, firmware 1.01.29 just came out and it has loads of useful features. For me the best new feature is that podcasts and audiobooks are now treated separately from the music files (just put them in the Audiobook/Podcast directory or tag them as Audiobook/Podcast).

I’m currently here at the Cardinal Santos Hospital where my wife will undergo an operation. I’ve been to quite a few hospitals and I gotta say if ever I had to be hospitalized (knock on wood!) the Cardinal Santos Hospital would be on the top of my list. This place is swanky and doesn’t have that hospital smell-of-death to it. They have a coffee vendo machine which has a gazillion different versions of coffee - coffee latte, frappucino, you name it they got it. The only downside is it’s very expensive especially the food. I bought a bag of Oishi crackers and it cost me P37, if I bought it in a grocery it would probably cost P12-15 these guys charge an arm and a leg! Oh well I guess if there’s any place where it’s gonna cost you an arm and a leg it’s a hospital. At least for me it’s only metaphorically and not literally.

Today is a Holiday - Labor Day which we ironically celebrate by NOT Labor-ing. I’ve always found that curious, isn’t that the equivalent of celebrating Valentines Day being unromantic, uh wait that IS how I celebrate Valentines Day
